COMMUNITY BUILDING CORE COMMUNITY

Mission Statement
The mission of the Community Building core Community is to foster awareness of
and nurture a spirit of Christian community.  Through ongoing identification of
needs and evaluation of activities, the Core Community will provide opportunities
for the parish and its organizations to support each other and to work, play and
pray together to build our parish community.

Ministries within the Community Building Core Community:

New parishioner indoctrination
Responsible for planning welcoming sessions for new parishioners.

Over Fifty Club
Monthly meetings, parish involvement, travel opportunities. An important activity and
outlet for seniors.

Moms & Tots
Weekly support group for mothers and their small children.

Women’s Circle
Monthly gathering for prayer, sharing, and enrichment

Sports Program
For the youth which includes basketball and cheerleading.

Small Church Communities
Weekly gatherings for sharing of faith (16 groups, 8 to 12 per group).

Ecumenical Activities
Faith sharing, etc.
