ORGANIZATION
The documents of Vatican II call for Catholic lay leaders to assume a more pronounced
role of shared leadership in determining the direction and lifeblood of a parish.  This
changing role of shared leadership also applies to pastors, other ordained ministers,
and religious.  To realize these goals and to assume these roles requires that all of the
ministries and organizations of the parish be structured so that they can operate in the
most effective and efficient manner.

Each of the ministries and organizations of our parish have been grouped under one of
four Core Communities.  These groupings correspond to the major areas of parish life.
Each ministry and organization is represented on its corresponding Core Community.
Further, each Core Community has representation on the pastoral council.  By
encouraging broad participation in planning, the Core Community structure allows for
growth and change while providing stability and continuity with minimal conflict.

The chart below shows the five Core Communities, the Ministries within each Core
Community, and their relationship to the Pastoral Council and the Parish Staff.  For a
description of the Pastoral Council or the individual Core Communities and their
ministries, go to the appropriate button on the left side of this or any page.
